Last week I told you about a fun DIY wood doormat project that I would be creating and sharing along with some other super talented bloggers. Today I’m sharing my version of the DIY wood doormat!
DIY Wooden Stenciled DoormatI tend to change my doormat out with the seasons because they tend to get yucky after bearing the elements. I was so happy to whip up with wooden doormat because I feel like it’s a tough and more practical doormat than any I’ve had before.

I’m always up for a good stencil project, it’s a fun way to personalize anything! In order to personalize my wooden doormat a bit, I stenciled a house right onto the doormat. I think it adds just enough warmth without taking away from the already great detail of the wooden doormat (hi, sisal rope!).

DIY Workshop wooden doormat

What’s awesome is that you can learn to build a DIY wooden doormat just like this at The Home Depot DIY Workshop. You can check out your local store and register for free. The Home Depot offers Workshops at all of their store locations. They’ve got three types of Workshops: Do It Yourself (DIY), Do It Herself (DIH), and Kids. If there is anything you’ve been wanting to learn, chances are there is workshop for it. I love the the workshops take the mystery and frankly scary part out of DIY and renovating with step by step demonstrations. I told you how I learned how to build an Adirondack chair a few years ago at the DIH workshop and it was so fun!

I’m not the only one that’s customized an awesome wooden doormat. A few of my pals are all sharing their DIY wooden doormats as well! You don’t want to miss all of the ways you can make this project your own!
